archeologies of distance

Berlin, April 22 – May 5, 2020

How does the limitation of our physical contact manifest itself on an urban scale within the city? How can we adapt and manage limitations and blurry boundaries? Where do encounters take place? Is our domestic space more then home? Did it become a playground, a school, an assembly space… as well? How can the façade of a house become a display of encounter? What happens in backyards and staircases? Which movements do we practice everyday within the neighborhood – walking, buying food etc. ? How do we encounter distance on a global or planetary scale?
